CAIRO, July 9 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby
strongly condemned on Tuesday the killings, violence and aggression witnessed
in Cairo yesterday morning.
In a statement by his office, Al-Araby expressed his condolences to
victims' families by saying "such weird acts were completely out of political
culture of the Egyptians and away from traditions we cherish."
The League also called for self-restraint and not to be dragged into
instigation or escalation, to protect Egypt's peace and people.
Al-Araby called to immediate form an investigation committee, which would
included independent figures capable of preparing a comprehensive report on
the case, as soon as possible. (end)
