BAGHDAD, June 21 (KUNA) -- At least eight people were killed and 22 others
wounded in a violent explosion at a coffee shop in central Baghdad on Friday,
a security source said.
A bomb planted by unknown people at a cafe at Al-Fadl neighborhood in
central Baghdad was detonated, leaving eight people killed and 22 others
injured, the security source told KUNA.
The victims, mostly young people, were watching a FIFA U-20 World Cup game
at the cafe, the source added.
Ambulances shifted the victims to nearby hospital while policemen cordoned
off the site. (end)
