BAGHDAD, June 8 (KUNA) -- Twelve Iraqis were killed and some 39 injured in
a spate of explosions in the capital Baghdad on Saturday, a police source said.
A booby-trapped car which was parking behind a health center in the 2nd
Al-Ameen district has been detonated killing four civilians and inuring 18
others, including three women and two children, the source told KUNA.
Another explosion took place shortly after that in southeast of Baghdad
killing one Iraqi and wounding nine others, he added.
Meanwhile, Seven Iraqis were killed and 12 injured in an explosion caused
by a booby-trapped car that was parking near a clinic in southeast of Baghdad
too, the source said.
The explosions took place despite tight security measures imposed in
Baghdad. (end)
