LONDON, April 30 (KUNA) -- The UK on Tuesday called on Iraqi political and
religious leaders to work hard to resolve the deteriorating situation in their
country by means of joining comprehensive political dialogue.
Foreign Office Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt
said in a news release his country was concerned over violence events that hit
Iraq last week and claimed the lives of scores of innocent civilians.
He said the majority of Iraqis do not want to return to the sectarian
conflict in their country, but they want a stable, prosperous and democratic
country.
The British minister urged all Iraqi political blocs to do what is good for
the Iraqi people and to enter serious dialogue to find standing solutions to
problems. (end)
