ISTANBUL, April 27 (KUNA) -- The upcoming visit by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will contribute to the development of Turkish-Kuwaiti ties, said a media official here Saturday.
Speaking to KUNA on the upcoming visit by His Highness the Amir, Ihlas News Agency's Deputy Director Ismail Balli affirmed that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah's visit to Turkey was of significant importance to the long historic relations between Turkey and Kuwait.
He affirmed that Turkey viewed relations with Kuwait as very important to the welfare of both countries, stressing that Kuwait plays an integral role within the Arab and Islamic region on various occasions.
Balli also lauded Kuwait's efforts in the form of humanitarian aid, especially its efforts directed towards Syrian refugees in Turkey.
The scheduled visit by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Turkey on Sunday will mark 45 years of close relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries in various fields. (end) ta.gta KUNA 271547 Apr 13NNNN
