Various athletic competitions commence in May -- Kuwait''s women federation

KUWAIT, April 21 (KUNA) -- The women's Basketball, Table Tennis, Athletics leagues will all commence in May, the women sports federation announced here late Saturday.
After a meeting for the representatives of women sports club here, Secretary of Salwa Al-Sabah Sports Club Rasha Al-Sa'yegh told KUNA that the Basketball league, which will begin on May 9, would see competition among Oyoon, Fatat, Salwa Al-Sabah, and Qadisya, adding that matches would be held during the weekends.
The Table Tennis league, which will begin on May 18, would see matches among teams of Oyoon, Fatat, and Salwa Al-Sabah women clubs, along with Yarmouk, Qadisya, and Jahra, said the official.
She added that the athletics league would only include competition among teams from Oyoon, Qadisya, Salwa Al-Sabah, and Fatat sports clubs.(end) jsy.gta KUNA 211108 Apr 13NNNN
