ALGIERS, March 12 (KUNA) -- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and
African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian on Tuesday hailed as "wise and
constructive" Algeria stance on the Syrian crisis.
The views of Islamic Republic of Iran and Algeria are almost identical on
the developments in Syria and other regional issues, he pointed out.
He made the remarks in a joint press conference with Algerian Minister for
Maghreb and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahel after their talks here.
The talks with Messahel reaffirmed that Tehran and Algiers are firmly
opposed to any foreign intervention in the domestic affairs of Syria, he said.
Iran highly appreciates the wise stances of the Algerian leaders on the
Syrian crisis and other developments in the Middle East, Abdollahian stressed.
He reaffirmed Iran's support to the Republic of Algeria in its fight
against terrorism which poses a grave risk to stability in many Islamic
countries.
On his part, Messahel said the talks dealt with a range of bilateral and
regional issues of common concern.
He added that Algeria is of the view that there could be no peaceful
solution to the conflict in Syria without involving all concerned parties in a
substantive dialogue. (end)
