ISLAMABAD, March 11 (KUNA) -- President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari will
leave for Iran on Monday for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Pakistan-Iran
gas pipeline.
The Pakistani president will join Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on
the ceremony. The chief ministers and governors of all Pakistan provinces have
also been invited to the ceremony.
The gas pipeline is 785 kilometer long, through which Pakistan will import
21.5 million cubic meters of gas from Iran. The project will be completed in
the next 15 months costing USD 7.5billion.
This project will help Pakistan in eliminating energy crises in the country.
