SANAA, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- Yemeni Foreign Minister Dr. Abu Bakr al-Qorbi
discussed here on Saturday with ambassadors and representatives of countries
and organizations members of the Group of Friends of Yemen accredited to Yemen
the ongoing preparations for the Fifth Ministerial Meeting of the Group to be
held in London on March 7.
During the meeting, Al-Qorbi praised the decision of the United Kingdom to
host this meeting in London and its efforts in this regard.
He stressed that the meeting would be an opportunity to assess the progress
made by the Yemeni government and the members of the group since the last
group meeting, which was held in New York last September.
He pointed out that the concerned authorities in Yemen were putting the
final touches on the papers to be presented to the meeting, which will cover
the political, economic and security domains. (end).
