Pro, opponents of Egyptian pres. organize rival rallies in Cairo

CAIRO, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- Thousands of Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi supporters started pouring into Nahadat Misr Square, near Cairo University, to participate in a mass rally against political violence amid preparations from rival groups and political forces to hold anti-Morsi protest near the Presidential Palace.
Nahadat Misr rally, themed "Together Against Violence", is organized by the Building and Development Party, the political arm of the Jammat Islamiyah, to denounce recent violence and attacks allegedly carried out by the opposition supporters on state institutions, specially the Presidential Palace.
Over a dozen of Islamist parties and groups are partaking in the anti-violence rally, including the Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood group which announced that its participation in the rally will be "symbolic." Meanwhile over 38 opposition movements, mainly liberals and leftists, have called for a protest outside a presidential palace in eastern Cairo to protest against what they call Morsi's failure to fulfill the objectives of the revolution that brought him to power.
