BAGHDAD, Jan 6 (KUNA) -- A ranking Iraqi MP Sunday commended the "historic
strategic" relations with Kuwait in all domains.
Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, head of the National Alliance bloc, which forms a
majority in the House of Representatives, made the remarks during a meeting
with Kuwait's Ambassador in Baghdad Ali Al-Momen during which they discussed
security, economic and investment cooperation.
Al-Jaafari, a former Prime Minister, called on importance of further
cementing bilateral relations and cooperation between Kuwait and Iraq, a
statement by the MP's office said.
The Iraqi MP called for narrowing the points of view between the two
countries to achieve common interests.
Ambassador Al-Momen, meanwhile, underscored the State of Kuwait's support
for the Iraqi people.
Al-Momen called for removing all obstacles facing cooperation. (end)
