RIYADH, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- The pilot of the Saudi F-15 fighter jet of the
Royal Saudi Air Forces, which fell in the territorial sea waters of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has survived the crash, an official source at the
Saudi ministry of defense said on Monday.
Earlier in the day, a hawk aircraft of Royal Saudi Air Forces, on a routine
training mission of the Saudi Hawks Team at King Faisal air base in the
northern west region, suffered an accident when approaching the runway due to
a technical glitch led to its downfall, the source told Saudi Press Agency.
The source added that the pilot was able to use parachute and survived the
crash, noting that he was taken to the hospital.
The authorities have formed a technical team to investigate the reasons of
the accident, indicated the source. (pickup previous)
