Saudi Arabia urges GCC countries to further boost security cooperation

RIYADH, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- Saudi interior minister Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, addressing a meeting of the GCC interior ministers Tuesday, hoped the six GCC countries bolster security cooperation and coordination for the sake of the Gulf people.
Prince Mohammad conveyed greetings of the Saudi leadership to the interior ministers.
UAE deputy premier and interior minister Sheikh saif bin Zayed Al-Nuhayyan said ministers were determined to draw unified security policies which would contribute to cementing security, stability and sustainable development in the six GCC countries.
Bahraini interior minister Gen. Sheikh Rashed bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa thanked the GCC countries for standing by Bahrain in the face of terrorism and violence.
GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani, meanwhile, noted that the GCC leaders were fully backing the common action towards more progress, development and prosperity.
