GAZA, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- Israeli artillerymen bombarded the region of Jeher
Al-Dik in central Gaza on Friday wounding a Palestinian farmer, spokesman of
the Palestinian Ministry of Health Ashraf Al-Qudra said.
He told KUNA the farmer, in his 20s, suffered wounds as a result of the
bombardment of the agricultural region. He was taken to Shuhadaa Al-Aqsa
Hospital for treatment.
The Israeli gunners fired the shells from emplacements straddling the
demarcation line around the strip.
Israel says its forces target Palestinians spotted 300 meters from the
fence.
Elsewhere, the occupation forces detained a 43-year-old Palestinian woman
at a checkpoint in the north of the West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoner's Club
said in a statement. The woman was taken to away. (end)
