British Summer Time ends Sunday

LONDON, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- People living in the United Kingdom are preparing to change their clocks and watches back one hour on Sunday mid-night as the British Summer Time (BST), known as daylight saving time, will end.
The British Summer Time begins at one o'clock, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), in the morning of the last Sunday in March and ends at one o'clock, (GMT), in the morning of the last Sunday in October.
The BST, is known as Daylight Saving Time, is a way of making better use of the daylight in the evenings by setting the clocks forward one hour during the longer days of summer, and back again in the fall.
It was first established by the Summer Time Act of 1916, after a campaign by builder William Willett. (end) mrn.ibi KUNA 272001 Oct 12NNNN
