Minister of Electricity and Water and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim participates in GCC water, electricity committee meeting in Riyadh
KUWAIT, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Minister of Electricity and Water and Minister of
State for Municipal Affairs Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim is to head to the Saudi
Capital of Riyadh to participate in the 25th committee meeting of the Gulf
Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
A statement by the Ministry of Electricity and Water noted, on Monday, some
of the dominant issues that will be tackled in the meeting is setting a
comprehensive and long-term strategy for water security in the gulf region as
well as following up on a study for establishing a water connection project.
The meeting will also discuss the latest developments in the GCC power grid
project and the usage of nuclear energy in electricity generation and water
distillation. (end)
