KUWAIT, June 5 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker adjourned the session Tuesday over lack of quorum, and the vote on draft laws on the agenda is to take place Wednesday instead.
Speaker Ahmad Al-Saadoun first postponed the vote for half an hour for noon prayer, but had to adjourn in the end.
Earlier in the day, the MPs had finished discussion on the Public Prosecution's requests for lift of immunity of MPs Ebaid Al-Mutairi, Nabil Al-Fadel, and Musallam Al-Barrak, with only Al-Fadel stripped of immunity.
Quorum to hold a session is 22 members, while a vote on draft laws requires presence of 33 members at least.(end) kt.wsa KUNA 051332 Jun 12NNNN
