KUWAIT, April 4 (KUNA) -- The death toll of attacks by Syrian regular
forces on civilians on Wednesday rose to 54, including eight children and four
women who were mostly killed by forces' fire in Homs and Reef Damascus.
Local Coordination Committees said that the regime forces' military
escalation was still on the rise various Syrian cities and resulted so far in
the death of 25 in Homs, 15 in Reef Damascus, seven in Idleb, four in Daraa,
and two in Hama and Reef Aleppo.
The committees noted that the regime's forces sabotaged the city of
Zabadani and burned houses in Basateen, in an attempt to pressure residents by
damaging their sources of livelihood, amounted to SYP 50 million pounds.
They pointed out that despite the heavy shelling, random fire shooting, and
wide arresting; demonstrations against the regime are still active on daily
basis in most of Syrian cities demanding freedom and the downfall of the
