MOSCOW, March 9 (KUNA) -- President Dmitry Medvedev relieved on Friday
Russian ambassador to Qatar, Vladimir Titorenko, from his duties.
The press release by the President's office did not reveal why the decision
was taken.
Recently, the Russian Foreign Ministry decided to scale down level of
diplomatic relations after the Ambassador suffered an assault at Doha Airport
on November 29, on his return from a mission to Jordan.
The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the Qatari Ambassador to Moscow,
handing him a letter of complaint of the issue. The Russian-Qatari diplomatic
relations date back to 1988. (end)
