French navy commander visits Iraq, tackles issue of security in region

BAGHDAD, March 6 (KUNA) -- Commander of French Navy Force stationed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) arrived in the Iraqi capital and is scheduled to hold talks regarding the issue of GCC security, Iraqi Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
A statement by the ministry said that Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zibari met with French official, accompanied by French Ambassador to Iraq Deini Ghoya and military high ranking officials.
The statement said the two sides tackles issues on security in the region, exchanged views on current developments in the Arab world and the Arabian Gulf countries.
