RAS JEDIR, Tunisia, March 2 (KUNA) -- The Tunisian security services
decided Friday to close the Ras Jedir crossing point on the eastern borders
with Libya after Libyan militant groups attacked Tunisian trade convoys.
The attacks, which started last night on the Libyan side of the borders and
lasted until this morning, targeted Tunisian trucks carrying goods to Libya, a
security source told the Tunisian radio.
The repeated attacks brought the trade exchanges to a halt and increased
tension in the border areas, the source added. (end)
