BAGHDAD, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi parliament has given the thumbs up to the 2012 federal budget worth 117 trillion Iraqi dinars (roughly USD 100 billion).
"The Iraqi parliament has overwhelmingly voted for the federal budget," a parliament source told KUNA.
The estimated deficit budget amounts to 14 trillion (USD 12.6 billion).
This year's budget, which is 22 percent higher than the earlier year's budget, was counted on the basis that an oil barrel is worth USD 85, and an export rate of 2.6 million barrels. (end) mhg.mt KUNA 240011 Feb 12NNNN
