KUWAIT, April 5 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf
Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace Qatari Minister of
Municipality and Urban Planning Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Khalifa Al-Thani and
the delegation accompanying him.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Public Works and Minister of State
for Municipal Affairs Dr. Fahdel Safar as well as Governor of the Capital
District Sheikh Ali Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Nawaf also met today with Minister of Education and Minister of
Higher Education Dr. Moudhi Al-Humoud who was accompanied by the newly
appointed leaders of the Education and Higher Education Ministries as well as
Kuwait University (KU), and the Public Authority for Applied Education and
Training (PAAET).
Minister Al-Humoud introduced His Highness to the new Director of KU Dr.
Abdullatif Al-Bader, PAAET's new Director General Dr. Abdulrazzak Al-Nafisi,
new Director General for the Educational Development Center Dr. Abdulreddah
Al-Kayyat, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Higher Education Dr. Khaled Saad,
Head of Kuwait Permanent-Supporting Delegation to UNESCO Dr. Ali Al-Tarrah,
Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Information at the Ministry of
Education Dr. Khaled Al-Rashed, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of
Higher Education Mona Al-Lugani.
His Highness congratulated the officials on their new positions, calling on
them to boost their efforts in developing education in Kuwait as part of the
nation's future development plans.
Sheikh Nawaf also received Chairman of the Board for Social Reform Society
Humoud Al-Roumi, Secretary General of the Society Dr. Abdullah Al-Atiqi, and
member of the board Ahmad Al-Falah. His Highness also met with Dr. Anwar
Abdullah Al-Nouri. (end)
