KUWAIT, Sept 2 (KUNA) -- The first issue of Kuwait's new "Annahar"
newspaper hit the stands on Sunday, making this the country's ninth Arabic
daily and the fourth to come into circulation after the endorsement of the new
press and publications law in 2006.
The paper, whose editor-in-chief is Imad Bukhamseen, a leading businessman,
covers local and international political and economic affairs, as well as
local social and health issues.
It also includes a sports section and allocates a number of pages to
culture and art news. (end)
