GENEVA, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- UN organization for children UNICEF Friday voiced deep concerns about serious violations of children's rights in northern part of Rakhine state in Myanmar reported in High commission of Human rights report.
UNICEF has just seen the report of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and is very concerned about the reported serious violations of children's rights in the northern part of Rakhine state, the UNICEF said in a press release.
Such violations of children's rights are totally unacceptable, it emphasized.
The UN organization noted that "every child has the right to protection, irrespective of their gender, ethnicity, religion or nationality, in every circumstance. Allegations of child rights violations must be thoroughly investigated, violators must be prosecuted, and the child victims need and deserve support. (end)
