CAIRO, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait has won two awards, subsidiaries of the Arab Government Excellence Award -- the fourth edition.
The winners were honored at the Arab League Secretariat General's headquarters, with attendance of Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul-Gheit and Mohammad Al-Gerqawi, the president of the board of trustees of the UAE award.
Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) won half of the award of the top initiative for overhauling government tasks. The other half was given to an Egyptian information association.
The Kuwaiti ministry of communications was also honored for Sahel application.
The award shields were handed over by the State of Kuwait Permanent Representative at the Arab League, Ambassador Talal Al-Mutairi.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the honored entities. 

Meanwhile in Kuwait, Nazaha released a statement affirming that it earned the award due to the support from the political leadership, exerted efforts by the government and private institutions in the national strategy for combating corruption.
The prestigious award was sponsored by the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Governor Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al-Maktoum, in cooperation with the Arab League Secretariat General in the category, "the best Arab initiative for overhauling government tasks." This achievement, Nazaha has added, comes at a time it is working with national authorities to prepare the "new strategic framework post 2025 for boosting integrity and combating corruption in Kuwait."
