Kuwait's FM: Gulf Summit in Bahrain successful with excellent results

KUWAIT, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya described the Gulf summit held in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Wednesday as "successful", noting that it ended up with excellent results.
He also emphasized Kuwait's commitment to Gulf unity, and full coordination with the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
In a press statement made on the sidelines of his attendance at the UAE Embassy's celebration of the 54th UAE National Day, themed "United," Al-Yahya noted that the final communiquأ© from the 46th regular session of the GCC Supreme Council reflects this Gulf unity.
He stated that "We are committed to ongoing Gulf cooperation and coordination on unified customs, economic issues, and security, including cybersecurity".
"Addressing all matters related to the security of the GCC has become an urgent necessity." Al-Yahya expressed pride in Kuwait's achievements during the previous session of the GCC Supreme Council, which was presided over by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He affirmed Kuwait's commitment to collaboration with GCC states and conveyed his sincere wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain's success during its current presidency of the Council.
He also extended heartfelt congratulations to the United Arab Emirates, its leadership, government, and people on the occasion of its National Day, wishing them continued progress, prosperity, and success.
He pointed out that Kuwaiti-Emirati relations are exceptional and constantly evolving. After returning from the GCC Summit in Bahrain, he was keen on attending the UAE's National Day celebrations. (end) nsh.tab.ara
