KUWAIT, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwait and Bahrain inked on Saturday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance their health collaboration, in the presence of Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi and his Bahraini peer Dr. Jaleela bint Sayed Jawad and Bahrain's Ambassador to Kuwait Salah Al-Malki.
After signing the memo, Dr. Hesham Kelendar, Health Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Health Services Affairs, said the MoU embodies the sisterly relations between the two countries and represents a strategic partnership.
This partnership contributes to developing and upgrading healthcare services to be compatible with the sustainable development goals, and enhancing regional health security, he added in a press release.
It also aims to open new horizons of future cooperation in terms of training, sharing efficiencies or developing research and technical fields, he noted.
The MoU seeks to cement collaboration between both sides in diverse healthcare field that include medical expertise and knowledge and others. (end)
