1980 -- An explosion rips through offices of the daily newspaper, "Al-Rai Alaam," killing one person and wounding six others. Losses have been estimated at KD six million (approx. USD nine million).
2010 -- The Kuwaiti jet ski champion, Yusuf Alrubaiaan, wins the silver medal in the Formula-2 World Jet Ski Championship held in Italy.
2012 -- Kuwait pledges to earmark USD three million to combat malaria worldwide. The sum will be granted to the International Partnership to End Malaria.
2024 -- The Ministry of Health declares halt of medical insurance services to Kuwaiti retirees after abrogating the deal with the contracting company for failing to heed the relevant agreement terms. (end) mbr.nsn.rk
