Social affairs min. dissolves four non-profit orgs for irregularities

KUWAIT, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah decreed that four non-profit organizations be dissolved for violating their respective executive statutes.
Ad hoc committees will be set up to account for the finances and assets of those orgs and report to the ministry pursuant to the established legal procedures, the minister said in a press release on Monday.
Today's action falls in the framework of the Ministry's commitment to transparency, accountability, institutional work and protection of the public interest, she stressed. (end) ays.gb
