NEW DELHI, Aug 18 (KUNA) -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin bilateral and global issues of mutual concern.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that Modi received a telephone call from Putin who shared his assessment of his meeting with the President of the US Donald Trump in Alaska last week.
The prime minister underlined Indiaآ’s consistent position for a peaceful resolution of the conflict through diplomacy and dialogue, reiterating that India supports all efforts in this regard.
Both leaders also touched upon a number of issues of bilateral cooperation with a view to further cementing the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between the two countries. (end)
