TEHRAN, April 8 (KUNA) -- The "indirect" talks with the US on the Iranian nuclear file will begin next Saturday in the Sultanate of Oman, said Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday.
According to the Iranian Islamic News Agency (IRNA), the Araghchi released a statement on X indicating that talks would be held on the level of senior officials.
This is a test and a chance and the ball is in the court of the United States, added Araghchi.
While the Iranian official deemed the talks as "indirect", US President Donald Trump -- following his meeting with Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu -- said that "direct" talks already began and would continue between the two countries to discuss the nuclear file.
Araghchi is scheduled to meet with United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Seven Witkoff during Saturday's meeting in Oman, according to Tasnim News Agency.
