KUWAIT, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Society of Lawyers on Wednesday held a seminar on the GCC efforts in the fields of legal, legislative affairs, AI and digitization, in collaboration with the GCC Secretariat General.
The head of the legislative affairs at the back-up secretariat for legal and legislative affairs, justice Abdulmajid Al-Saadi, said in a statement during the session that the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah had played a pivotal role in establishing the GCC Secretariat General.
The Economic treaty inked by the GCC member states in 1981 is the basis for the pan-Gulf cooperation, he said.
The society secretary general, Khaled Al-Suwaifan, said in remarks to KUNA that the session addressed laws in the GCC countries and how the AI is being employed for updating them. (end)
