LONDON, Jan 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti squash athlete Abdullah Hani finished in second place at the British Open Squash championship's under-15 category on Sunday, with Egypt's Saleh Saleh edging him out by a 3-1 score line.
The Kuwaiti squash athlete's "impressive performance" landed him a berth in the finals, Kuwaiti delegation chief and squash federation member Adel Al-Ghareeb told KUNA.
The Kuwaiti delegation chief, a renowned squash athlete himself, said he was content with the performances of his compatriots at the event, underlining their preparedness to take part in similar future contests.
He went on to dedicate the national side's performance, highlighted by a runner's up spot clinched by Hani, to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. (end) mrn.nam
