Egypt affirms support for Sudan's security, stability

CAIRO, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi affirmed on Tuesday standing by Sudan, support its security, stability, unity and territorial integrity.
This came during Al-Sisi's meeting with Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council Lieu. Gen. Abdelfattah Al-Burhan.
During the meeting, the two sides tackled latest developments in Sudan, as well as efforts to settle the crisis in a way that protects the country's sovereignty, presidency spokesman Ahmad Fahmy said in a statement.
The talks also covered cooperation and coordination to support the Sudanese people, especially through humanitarian and relief aid, he noted.
On his part, Burhan expressed deep appreciation to the sincere Egyptian support, on all levels. (end) aff.bb
