CAIRO, Aug 18 (KUNA) -- The Somali army said Friday it has killed 20 militants of Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab group in a joint operation launched by Somali and international forces in Lower Shabelle in south of Somalia.
The military operation targeted two houses where Al-Shabaab militants were making explosive devices, Somalia's official news agency reported.
It came in the context of the Somali army's strategic goals of wiping out Al-Shabaab militants, it added. (end)
