GCC Secretary-Gen. confirms commitment in confronting ISIS

RIYADH, June 8 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, affirmed Thursday commitment of the GCC countries to confronting ISIS on various fronts and dismantling its networks and facing global ambitions.
This came during Al-Budaiwi's participation in the ministerial meeting of the International coalition against ISIS, a statement by the General Secretariat of the Gulf State said.
Al-Budaiwi added that today's meeting is an important opportunity for consultation and exchange visions on strategies and ways to confront the serious challenges posed by the terrorist organization ISIS.
He indicated that the GCC countries are making their efforts for coordination with regional and multilateral initiatives to face all terrorist organizations that pose a threat to regional and international peace and stability .(end) kns.nhq
