KUWAIT, March 25 (KUNA) -- The CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Nasser Al-Sabah, inspected site of the oil spill accident in western Kuwait to review the ongoing efforts to end it, address its effects and confirm the official support. The KPC said in a press statement on Saturday that Sheikh Nawaf, accompanied by the CEO of Kuwait Oil Company, Ahmad Al-Aidan, was briefed on all details of the leak and the measures that were taken since the first moment of the accident.
He listened to an explanation about ongoing efforts to ensure complete control of the leak as soon as possible.
The corporation stated that during the visit, the CEO and the accompanying delegation were informed that the production operations at the accident site were unaffected. No toxic gases were recorded or monitored as the concerned teams worked to take all necessary measures following the appropriate controls and conditions.
Kuwait Oil Company announced in a press statement, last Monday, that there were no injuries resulting from this leakage, that production operations were not affected, and that toxic gases were not detected, noting that the concerned teams in the company were present at the accident site to deal according to procedures followed in such matters. It reassured citizens and residents that there was no impact on public health or safety due to the accident and that all readings from the monitoring stations came within the permissible limits.
