Tunisian interior minister quits

TUNIS, March 17 (KUNA) -- Tunisian Minister of Interior (MoI) Tawfiq Sharaf Al-Din announced Friday submitting his resignation to the president due to some "family reasons".
In a press statement, Sharaf Al-Din said that Tunisian President Kais Saeed accepted the resignation.
Al-Din elaborated that his resignation came for some "personal and family reasons", however he has been recently slammed for alleged violations of human rights committed in Tunisia.
Last Thursday, the European parliament recommended suspending aid to Tunisia's ministries of interior and justice. (end) ksj.hm
