KUWAIT, Feb 4 (KUNA) - The first round of the 10th Kuwait International Arabian Horse Festival (2023) concluded on Saturday with a ceremony to award the winners of the six tiers of the championship.
The below-one-year fillies' class saw El La Linda, of the breeder Mubarak Al-Khashab, winning the top place.
In the below-one-year colts' class, A J Sifan, of Mohammad Al-Sahhaf, won the top prize.
In the 2-3 year fillies' class, Thabiat Al-Siba, of Youssef Al-Kandari, came leading.
In the 2-3 year colts' class, Ezz Al-Khashab, of Mubarak Al-Khashab came leading.
In the 4+ year mares' class, Al-Khashab's won the title of the most beautiful mare.
In the 4+ year stallions' class, Mohammad Al-Enzi's Aja Justafire came leading.
The four-day event aimed to display the glamor of horse with Arabian essence, director of the championship Abdullah Al-Breihi told KUNA.
He thanked Sheikha Sara Fahad Al-Du'aij Al-Sabah - the Director-General of Bait Al-Arab State Stud and chairperson of the organizing committee, for the efforts made to ensure the success of the festival and conserve the region's rich equestrian tradition.
The equine beauty pageant, hosted by Bait Al-Arab State Stud, gathered nearly 298 purebred horses from Kuwait and abroad.
The second round of the 10th Kuwait International Arabian Horse Festival (2023) will be held in Egypt on February 16-19 with 211 Arabian horses participating. (end) fsa.gb
