ADEN, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) on Friday gave out clothes to 400 displaced families in Ma'rib governorate, central Yemen, as part of "Kuwait beside You" campaign, continuing for eighth year running.
The relief effort, carried out in collaboration with Estijabah Foundation - KRCS's local partner, targets needy persons, particularly women and children, said KRCS Director-General Abdulrahman Al-Aoun.
"It aims to alleviate the suffering of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in winter," Al-Aoun, now leading a delegation from the Society on a visit to Yemen, told KUNA.
He reaffirmed KRCS commitment to continue the relief efforts with a view to improving the living conditions of Yemenis through water, healthcare, education and housing projects in collaboration with the Yemeni local authorities and partners. (end) sns.gb
