Lebanon's Mseilha Fort retains allure despite neglect

Photo feature by Clovis Choueifaty BEIRUT, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- Lebanon's Mseilha Fort, which dates back to the 17th century, is still an architectural wonder despite years of neglect and lack of renovation.
Built on the edge of a limestone rock on the bank of a river, with walls ranging from 1.5 to two meters (4 to 6.5 feet) in thickness, the fort was designed to protect the route from the northern city of Tripoli to the capital Beirut. (end) cbs.nam
