LONDON, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak welcomed Wednesday the German approval to send (Leopard 2) tanks to Ukraine to help it in its war against Russia.
"The right decision by NATO allies and friends to send main battle tanks to Ukraine. Alongside Challenger 2s, they will strengthen Ukraine's defensive firepower," Rishi Sunak said on Twitter.
"Together, they will accelerate efforts to ensure that Ukraine wins this war, and secures lasting peace in the country," he added.
Earlier today, the German Government officially announced providing Ukraine with 14 (Leopard 2) battle tanks. (end)
