Morocco-hosted festival to revive Arab theatre - Kuwaiti artists

CASABLANCA, Morocco, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- A Morocco-hosted gathering of thespians from across the wider Arab region is expected to push the regional theatre movement forward, a pair of Kuwaiti artists said on Wednesday.
Such events are instrumental in developing Arab theatre as a whole, giving actors and all those involved in the theatre industry the chance to spoke of their experiences in the field, they underlined on the sidelines of the Arab Theatre Festival in Morocco's largest city of Casablanca.
Kuwaiti artists and actors make it a point to attend such gathering given their significance in providing a platform to "venture into unchartered territories," said Nabil Al-Failakawi, the chief of the Kuwaiti art syndicate.
The gathering brings together actors and artists from across the region where a bevy of standout performers in the Arab theatre industry will be recognized for their memorable contributions. (end) mry.nam
