Palestinian fisherman shot and wounded at sea

GAZA, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Israeli troops on Thursday shot and wounded a Palestinian fisherman while he was fishing at sea, the Palestinian fishermen union chief, Nizar Ayyash, said.
He told KUNA that the fisherman was shot in Al-Sudaniya off the northern shores of Gaza strip, adding that he was taken to hospital for treatment of light injuries.
Meanwhile, witnesses said the occupation troops fired tear gas and gunfire in the direction of Palestinian farmers east of Gaza city and Khan Youness town in the south. But there were no injuries.
The occupation forces have often targeted the Palestinian fishermen since Tel Aviv enforced a siege on the enclave in 2007. (end) aib.rk
