Kuwait affirms just Palestinian cause remains central Arab issue

DOHA, April 30 (KUNA) -- The just Palestinian cause remains the central Arab issue, affirmed Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, stating that the Zionist entity and its continuous violations are the driving factor behind failure to adopt sustainable solutions.
Ambassador Al-Sabah addressed third session of Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum, with Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan in Doha on Tuesday.
He called on international community to adhere to its responsibilities and put an end to the systemic crimes against Palestinians.
The Kuwaiti diplomat also urged the Security Council to safeguard international peace and security, address cause of escalation, provide protection to Palestinian people against forced eviction, and guarantee flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Once again, Kuwait asserts its unwavering stance by legitimate rights of Palestinians, their right to just and comprehensive peace, based on international legitimacy rules and Arab peace initiative.
The Ambassador spoke of Kuwaiti efforts in boosting cooperation, and augmenting exchanged benefit in the region, to achieve integration, and arrive at a realistic implementable economic plan.
Concluding his statement, Ambassador Al-Sabah took time to highlight Kuwait 2035 vision and its efforts in achieving sustainable development goals.
He stated that a number of national programs in developing human resources, nationalizing technology, supporting a more sustainable economy have been approved.
Ambassador Al-Sabah also mentioned that Kuwait is following with interest a number of regional and international issues including combating terrorism and extremism, freedom of maritime navigation as per international law stipulations.
In attendance of the session were Qatari Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mohammad bin Qassim Al-Thani, Ministers of Arab and Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, and Arab League Secretary General, Ahmad Abulghiet. (end) aai
