VIENNA, Aug 22 (KUNA) -- A well-informed source at the International Atomic
Energy Agency (IAEA) on Tuesday welcomed the Iranian agreement with the UN
atomic agency to clarify its controversial nuclear program.
The IAEA and Iran announced today their agreement over a precise timetable
for the latter to come up with answers over its atomic drive.
The source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, described the talks
between the two sides as constructive and good.
The source said that after three rounds of talks, the two sides underscored
the importance of implementing a work plan to settle all pending issues
concerning Iran's nuclear dossier topped by its undeclared nuclear activities
during the past two decades.
The accord was announced by the UN watchdog's head of safeguards Olli
Heinonen and Iranian national security official Javad Vaeedi after two days of
talks in Tehran.
Details of the timetable are to be be revealed in an IAEA report on Iran's
nuclear program that is due to be released in two weeks.
The source strongly believed that the (Tehran Agreement) constituted a
milestone that could pave the way for a near closure of Iran's nuclear file
after the IAEA makes certain Iran was cooperating with the UN watchdog in a
