KUWAIT, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company reduced the
price of unsubsidized corn by as much as 30 percent, bringing it from KD 4.990
to KD 3.470 for a 50 kilogram bag.
In a press release on Tuesday, the company said the decrease in the price
of corn in international markets and the low shipment fees highly contributed
to making this reduction.
Kuwait Flour Mill company is keen to support farmers throughout the
country, providing them with lower fodder prices in the local market, the
statement added.
It further noted that such a procedure was out of the company's belief that
food security could only be achieved through supporting livestock. (end)
