1964 -- A relics' museum is inaugurated on Failaka Island at the summer residence of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
1991 -- The Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issues a decree forming the Public Authority for Assessment of Compensation for Damages Resulting from the Iraqi Aggression (PAAC).
1993 -- The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) approves Resolution 833 that endorses a report by an international panel for demarcating the Kuwaiti-Iraqi borders.
