1964 -- A relics' museum is inaugurated on Failaka Island at the summer residence of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
1991 -- The Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issues a decree forming the Public Authority for Assessment of Compensation for Damages Resulting from the Iraqi Aggression (PAAC).
1993 -- The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) approves Resolution 833 that endorses a report by an international panel for demarcating the Kuwaiti-Iraqi borders.
1994 -- Kuwait exports first shipment of liquefied ammonia, amounting to 15,040 metric tons, to India after repairing the petrochemical sector, heavily damaged due to the Iraqi aggression 2003 -- Al-Qadsiya Club is crowned champion of the 41st Amir Cup soccer tournament, beating Salmiya with penalty kicks (4-1).
2008 - Kuwait wins the Arab Towns Organization's award for the top architectural work; the seaside Al-Kout complex in Fahaheel.
2016 -- The Kuwaiti field and track Para-champion, Ahmad Naqa Al-Mutairi, wins the gold medal in two competitions at the Switzerland Paralympic world tournament.
2018 -- The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sponsors inauguration of the foreign ministry renovation project.
2000 -- Abdullah Sraye' Al-Sraye' dies at the age of 66. He was a prominent Kuwaiti literary and diplomatic personality. (end) rk
